How long does a felony stay on your record?
my son was release a month ago but can't pay his court fines yet can he get at least an extension for 30-45days. i will have the money then. he is scared of going back to jail for 1 yr. that is not right he is trying to get on the right track to put his life back in order. he is a good kid

Unfortunately, there is very little avaiable help for him in Memphis. You could contact a lawyer and have them make his case before the judge, or he can go himself and ask the judge for an extension. We live in one of the sorriest cities when it comes to helping people stay out of jail once they get into the system. Unfortunately, it is about the money that people who do the job make!
